We believe that the invaluable experience and cultural exchange gained through international football is something every aspiring player should have the opportunity to experience as part of their development.

We are excited to confirm our participation in the Gothia Cup and Dana Cup – two of the most prestigious youth football tournaments in the world. CD Football will be proudly represented in the following categories:

Our tours programme is only for boys and girls already playing competitively at club level.

These stand-alone events will have no impact on their team commitments – bringing together highly skilled and competitive individuals in an environment with like-minded athletes to make lifelong memories.

Q: What are the Gothia Cup and Dana Cup?
A: The Gothia Cup (Sweden) and Dana Cup (Denmark) are two of the world’s largest and most prestigious international youth football tournaments. They bring together thousands of young players from across the globe for a week of top-level competition, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences.

Q: Who can take part?
A: Both tournaments are open to club, school, and academy teams across a wide range of age categories for both boys and girls. Age groups typically range from Under-11 to Under-19.

Q: Where and when are the tournaments held?
A: Gothia Cup: Takes place each year in Gothenburg, Sweden, typically in mid-July.
Dana Cup: Held in Hjørring, Denmark, usually in late July, directly after the Gothia Cup.

Q: Can our team enter both tournaments on the same trip?
A: Yes! Many international teams choose to compete in both tournaments back-to-back, as the dates and locations make it easy to combine into one European tour.

Q: Do you help arrange travel and accommodation?
A: Yes, we offer fully managed travel packages, which can include flights, airport transfers, coach travel, hotel or school accommodation, meals, and more. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

Q: Where do teams stay during the tournaments?
A: Gothia Cup: Teams are generally accommodated in local schools or hotels, arranged through the tournament organisers.
Dana Cup: Similar setup, with school or hotel accommodation provided in the Hjørring area.

Q: How many matches will our team play?
A: Each team is guaranteed a minimum number of matches (usually 4–5), with additional games for those progressing through the knockout stages.

Q: What level of competition should we expect?
A: Both tournaments attract high-level youth teams from around the world. The level varies, making it suitable for both competitive and development squads.

Q: Are referees and facilities professional?
A: Yes, all matches are officiated by qualified referees and played on high-quality natural or artificial pitches.

Q: Is there more to the tour than just football?
A: Absolutely. Both tournaments include opening ceremonies, cultural events, sightseeing opportunities, and activities designed to create memories beyond the pitch.

Q: Will our players meet others from different countries?
A: Yes! A big part of the experience is the opportunity to meet and interact with young people from over 80 nations, both on and off the pitch.

Q: How do we register?
A: Simply contact us via our website . We’ll guide you through the full registration process, including entry, travel arrangements, and preparation.

Q: What does it cost per player or team?
A: Costs vary depending on the package (number of tournaments, accommodation choice, optional excursions, etc.). Please get in touch for a tailored quote.

Q: When is the registration deadline?
A: Player selection into the appropriate age category will take place following our trial dates.
Payments may be made in monthly instalments, with the final balance due by 22nd May.

Q: Who is responsible for supervising the players?
A: Each squad’s coaching staff and chaperones will be responsible for supervising the players. However, the organisers’ tour coordinators will also be available to assist with logistics, emergencies, and general support throughout the trip.

Q: What safety measures are in place?
A: Both tournaments follow strict safeguarding and safety protocols. Working closely with police and authorities to secure venues - including: onsite staff and officials support crowd management and safety.
